4-H Presentations-Date Change for County Day

Kaleb Master, Jackson County 4-Her
DATE CHANGE-Friday, May 27 is now County Presentations Day

Public speaking is considered an important professional skill.  Public speaking is also ranked as a high anxiety experience for many people.  How can we close this gap?  Practice, practice, practice.  In the book Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell maintains that it takes approximately ten thousand hours of practice to achieve mastery in a field.  And so, let's get started young and help children learn these skills.

How do I get involved?
1.  Communicate with Heather, 4-H Agent, if interested.  586-4009 or heather_gordon@ncsu.edu

2.  Present at County Presentations Day on May 3, Friday, May 27, 4:30pm, Extension Office.

3.  Register to present at District Activity Day by May 27th.

4.  Present at District Activity Day on June 18, 10:00am, Western Carolina University.  Those from Jackson County who register for district presentations will receive a 4-H Pin Display Ribbon.
